FiberTag ® is a chaosmetric security technology that uses a random distribution of colored fibers combined with a 2D serialized code to create a unique fingerprint for each label.
Chaosmetry relies on the registration of physical elements that cannot be cloned to create unique fingerprint.
During the production of FiberTag®, infinitesimal variations in initial conditions during the incorporation of security fibers into the paper pulp result in a final dispersion of the fibers that is totally unpredictable.
The characterization of a FiberTag ® by its measurement gives a unique result that allows identification of each fiber relative to the others. Each FiberTag® is unique and impossible to duplicate even by its original manufacturer.
FiberTag ® is produced with a proprietary uncoated paper available in different weights. The paper used has been developed specifically for the application. This paper integrates visible and invisible security fibers perfectly characterized.
The security fibres are included in the pulp during production. The depth of the fibres in the thickness of the paper makes them appear more or less distinct.
FiberTag® cards are cold laminated cards that can be integrated in a laser or inkjet personalization process on conventional office equipment.
