In 1999, Novatec, a private French laboratory, discovered by chance a “spontaneous” generation of bubbles in a polymer.
What was initially considered a major defect in the electronic card manufacturing industry was ingeniously turned into a high-security technical solution:
Novatec gave birth to Prooftag in order to develop the Bubble Tag® technology.
Prooftag was the first company to market a concept of connected security allowing the unitary identification and authentication of products and documents.
We delivered to our first clients in the wine industry a software dedicated to track & trace bottles on bottling and packaging lines. The S.O.D.A. software has quickly evolved into a MES (Manufacturing Execution System) specialized in the world of wines and spirits.
Nowadays, many wine growers in France, Italy, Spain and California use our software to pilot their production line.
Prooftag is launching CertiDOCS, a software for securing and issuing documents. Several governments use this solution in a centralized or decentralized way to secure their official documents.
Prooftag launches FiberTag®, a chaometric paper-based technology. Many international brands and several governments are using this technology.
Prooftag launches the first IOT (Internet Of Things) platform on the market: Prooftag Cerv.
Thanks to Prooftag Cerv, customers benefit from a web interface to manage the use of their tags in the field of security, traceability and data management.
Prooftag innovates and develops the iCivil concept, the first CRVS for the identification of newborns and the creation of civil registers.
CertiTRACK becomes the new Track & Trace software for production lines in perfect synchronization with the IOT platform, Prooftag Cerv.
Prooftag inaugurates a new line of products by designing its first machine for applying security seals with the Seal Applicator. The Seal Applicator is quickly connected to the CertiTRACK software to create a ready-to-use offer for small and medium series projects.
Prooftag reinvents the Bubble Seal.
12 years after its first application, the Bubble Seal becomes available in four-color process and now integrates 3 levels of tamper-evidence with an increased lifespan.
In 2021 Prooftag launched Bottle Tracker, a machine that ensures that all bottles on the conveyor belt are scanned and subsequently separated into batches to facilitate the packaging process.
In 2021 360-ScanXpert, a state-of-the-art device designed to read security seals on wine bottles from all angles. It captures detailed information on the seal, guaranteeing accurate reading whatever the position of the seal.
In 2022 Box Tracker, an automated scanning station for cosmetics production lines. A number of cosmetics manufacturers use BoxTracker to control their production lines. It enhance productivity, minimize errors, and revolutionize the packaging operations.
In 2022, Prooftag reinvents ProoftagCERV. The new version is more ‘user-friendly’. The interface makes it easy to manage and supervise certification, traceability and data, associated with your products or documents.
In 2023, Bottle Tracker Versionne 2 is released. 360-ScanXpert has also been reinvented.
In May 2023, Prooftag launched QR Nutri, a platform for the creation of free ingredient sheets with nutritional values. QR Nutri was created at the request of wine producers to help them meet EU requirements for nutritional information on wine and spirits labels. From December 8, 2023, all alcoholic beverages in Europe must include nutritional values.
ScanDesk, a versatile machine that allows you to scan your products’ security seals and obtain their references. It can be used in a number of industries, particularly cosmetics.
On July 4, Prooftag celebrated its 20th anniversary! A 20-year journey to become a leader in the field of product and document security and traceability.
In a globalized world, the ever increasing flow of information, products and people creates a growing need for forgery-proof and easy-to-control authentication solutions.
Only chaosmetric security technologies, such as the Bubble Tag®, where the human hand is excluded from the generation process, can provide a sustainable response to the problems of counterfeiting and falsification.
